The beginning of this year has reminded us of how far this ol' building has come along. We are so grateful to each and every person, organization, church and business that has lent a hand in this process. We could not do this without you!
We have the fire code ceilings up in half of the main room. You will have to look at the pictures. It was hard work, but made easier with the drywall lift and the many volunteers who helped. It was a 3 stage process, 4 if you count removing the metal ceiling that we had. Once that was removed, the first layer of drywall was installed. That was taped and mudded. Then the separation piece that we referred to as a hat channel. Then the other layer of drywall going the opposite direction of the first. Then the painting began. First the primer, then we decided to be a little different. We painted the ceiling a lovely blue and added some clouds by our own Colleen Malone.
